Activity overview

In modern policing, collecting evidence at a crime scene is more than dusting for fingerprints or searching for strands of hair.

In many crimes, there can be a trail of digital evidence that leads to the criminal.

Your challenge is to use digital forensics to solve the crime and help police catch the murderer.

The story so far

At around 10pm on 28 November police we were alerted to the discovery of a man’s body in an office in Bishopbriggs, Glasgow.

An eyewitness gave a statement that he saw another man leaving the office. The description of the man matches that of known fugitive “Chris Malum”, who police are keen to speak to about a series of murders.

We have cordoned off an area for forensic examination as work continues to understand the circumstances around the man’s death. A piece of digital evidence was recovered at the crime scene.
